Massachusetts State Finals Casting Kids Contest

The
kids were a little tense, but a round of practice casting helped
calm the jitters for most of them and they were ready to get down to
business. It didn’t take long to see how these kids had made it
this far as they pushed the score over the 100 plus mark just to
stay in the competition. The enthusiasm and pure enjoyment these
kids displayed was exiting to watch. Their families and friends were
present watching them from the sidelines.
Standing on the side myself it was something to see. It looks
like the future of fishing is in good hands with these kids. They
sure know how to cast. As these kids stepped up one by one to show
us their best casting techniques, you could see how proud they were
to be at the state finals and excited to be ones that made it this
far. We had about ten finalists that made it to the finals again
this year. It was a great time for everyone, young and old both had
fun! When the fishing rods were cooled off we had two state
champions.
