In 1991 B.A.S.S. designed the Bassmaster Casting Kids program to introduce kids to the fun of fishing. This program is a flip, pitch and cast competition conducted by our federation members which gives away over $20,000 in scholarships each year. To date we have reached over 1,000,000 children with the numbers increasing each year.
The Massachusetts B.A.S.S. Federation supports the Casting kids program in many ways. The Federation and its members hold three major events each year associated with major outdoor shows...Worcester, Wilmington and Springfield. These three events alone will attract over 600 youngsters. In addition, many clubs sponsor their own local contests.
