BOSTON BASS ANGLERS
Presents The 7th Annual
“KARL KAPRELIAN”
BENEFIT SCHOLARSHIP
OPEN TEAM, BASS TOURNAMENT
Saturday, July
23, 2005, Lake Winnipesaukee, NH.
Ames Farm,
Lakeshore Dr. Rt. 11 Gilford, NH.
What a gorgeous
day, the weather held up and it was in the eighties with sun and
some wind. There was a considerable amount of boat traffic on the
lake, which made for a bumpy and wet ride
J.
We had 63 teams fish this tournament. The competition was tough as
we had some of the best Anglers in New England vying for the top
spots.
When all was
said and done there were a lot of huge bags brought to the scales,
this was an eight fish limit and the team of Tamburello and Iodice
took top honors with 27.53 lb. anchored by a 6.50 LM. Nice fish
but it didn’t hold up, the 10th place team of Brophy and
Branham had 18.85 lb. with Lunker LM weighing in at 6.53 LB. ( Funny
what 3 ounces can do for you
J)
Rounding out the field was the 2nd place team of Worth
and McAllister with 21.06 lb. anchored by a 4.31 SM.
We also had
good representation from Pro Staff Members from our various
sponsors, most notable was the Pro Staff from Jason Cuda’s Hookerz
Tackle, in attendance was Bean Lefebvre MA, Joel St. Germain RI,
Paul Cinquegrano MA, Rod Laferrier NH. From Poor Boyz Inc. we had
Ed Soule, Gary Cornelius, Jamie Worth, Pat Chapin. From DeVA
Systems Pro Staff Bill Fistori and Bean Lefebvre. From Don Kenneth
Inc. Pro Staff Dan Takesian and Bean Lefebvre. From Irwin Marine
Pro Staff Keith Snyder.
We had a
variety of sponsorship and a lot of door prizes were given out. We
would like to thank our sponsors for their generous donations and we
encouraged our participants to avail themselves of their services.
Our Sponsors are: Hookerz Tackle Ultra sharp terminal tackle,
Don Kennett Inc. Auto Supplies and equipment, Northern Bass
Supply, Poor Boyz Inc. Tournament proven bait attractant,
Shimano/Pradco/Mark Burgess Pro Angler, DeVA Systems Group IT,
Irwin Marine, Joe Mckinnon BASS Federation Inc. Pennzoil Maker
of Lubricants and car care products, Massbass Federation (
For the use of their equipment)
This was a
benefit tournament 80 % of the monies collected from registration
was paid out for prize money, the other 20 % plus raffle money went
to the Karl Kaprelian scholarship fund. Twelve places were paid out
plus Lunker Largemouth and Smallmouth.
The members of
Boston Bass Anglers are grateful to be able to put on this annual
event in Karl’s memory, as he was a cherished member of Boston Bass
Anglers
Boston Bass
Anglers would like to apologize for the delay at the ramps, but we
had no control over the way the traffic was routed and the order the
boats where loaded, Ames Farm has their own Ramp boss and we were at
his mercy.
The Kaprelian
clan was well represented on the water with the patriarch Alan
paving the way for the family. We hope all the anglers enjoyed the
day and had a good time. We are looking forward to seeing you again
next year.
Respectfully
Yours,
Bean Lefebvre,
Boston Bass Anglers
