Youth Tournament July 18 at East Brimfield Our first tournament of the 2009/2010 season turned out to be a great day after a grim forecast. It started out drizzling and quickly cleared up to be a beautiful hot and sunny summer day. We had 29 participants, although it turned out to be a tough day on the water. Some anglers did manage to catch fish. Thank you as always for the support of the boat captains and to everyone who helped out with registrations, cooking and pictures. As usual, we provided a cookout for anglers and families. We also handed off raffle tickets to the kids for a chance to win 2 Mustang PFDs to be raffled off at the next tournament at Connecticut River Oxbow Section on August 15. We continued with our tradition of passing out trash bags and having the kids do a ramp clean up while we tallied the weights. The kids collected three bags of trash – great job! Congratulations to the top 3 in each division. They were: Beginner Division – Kyle Brennan came in first place with 2 fish totaling 2.81 lbs. Second place went to Max Danese who caught 2 fish totaling 2.43 lbs. Third place went to Cody Barry with 5 fish totaling 1.1 lbs. Congratulations to all of you on a job well done! Junior Division – First place went to Joshua Jacques, who caught 4 fish totaling 7.06 lbs. This was the biggest bag of the day. Robert Littlefield came in 2nd place with 3 fish totaling 3.9 lbs. Zach Bourque placed 3rd with 1 fish totaling 1.19 lbs. Great job to the junior division. Senior Division – First place went to Rob Ramasci with 3 fish weighing 6.42 lbs. Rob also caught the lunker which was 4.52 lbs. Great job Rob! Second place went to Richie Vespa with a 5 fish limit weighing 4.27 lbs. In third place was Jeffrey Gaspar with 3 fish weighing in at 3.54 lbs. Congratulations to all winners - Great job! Pictures will be posted soon so check our web site.
